The Coy Chiropractic Institute and CHER Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to the growth and development of the CHIROPRACTIC profession, yet, is NON-POLITICAL, and cannot enter into those areas or even support political activities.

There is an old song… and saying…. “Money Makes The World Go Around”. It is also true of most things in life. Mother Theresa could not have accomplished all the wonderful things she did without the contributions and support of many people. This is true of CCI / CHER. Without funds coming in from various sources the organization will not accomplish all that is within its mission.

It has been the long term policy that this organization should be supported by the public. WHY, because it is the public which is the benefactors of these health care services. It is the public that has built the hospitals, whether through donations, taxes, or other forms of contributions. $100,000,000 is contributed into the Muscular Dystrophy campaign each year, and, for how many years? There have been “billion” of dollars collected to help in the research of this one disease.

America and its citizens are the most generous group in this planet. We have contributed for just about every cause under the sun. From cures for disease to saving the whales, there has been an ongoing financial support. In health care is it estimated that annually there is over $100,000,000,000.00 contributed! [That is one hundred billion if you got lost in the zeros. EACH YEAR]

Chiropractic is over 111 years old and offers a safe alternative in health care. Medicine touts its great advances, yet is one of the major causes of death with the nearly 100,000 deaths caused by doctors, hospitals, drugs etc. Yet, Chiropractic has yet to receive the financial support which could help the profession benefit millions of people without the risk of death. This is the reason this organization was formed.

It is the mission, desire, hope, dream, and goal of the Coy Chiropractic Institute and CHER Foundation to bring into the profession the financial support is should have and deserves. Millions of people benefit annually from Chiropractic care and have never had the vehicle by which they could show their gratitude in a financial way until now. It is our hope that doctor’s will encourage their patients, chiropractic students will become aware of, and the profession will support this web site in bringing about the avenue of contributions into the profession.

Again, this is a PUBLIC organization to support the growth and development of the Chiropractic profession. Below are some of the past and future programs we want do see developed and the goals that we believe can come about through the support of doctors, students, friends and family members and the 30 million Chiropractic patients.

CANISTERS: It is the hope that a canister can be on the desk of all of the 50,000 chiropractic offices to receive the change of a grateful public. [Such a project could bring into Chiropractic Health, Education, and Research as much as $500,000 PER WEEK, or an annual income over $13 million]

GRANTS: There are 100's of millions available to “public” foundation which can go into our much needed educational programs as well as the many research projects yet to be funded. The Institute is a primary client of Grantwiters and E-Grants USA, two companies designed to obtain grant funding for the many programs created by the various divisions. It is here that we will seek our greatest level of funding; yet, the funds can well be used to create programs that will perpetuate the funding from other sources. Each of the dozens of programs will be presented to the grant writers for research into what might be available in that particular area.

ENDOWMENTS: Individuals can place funds in a program that would be managed by the Institute with instructions as to where the proceeds from these funds might go to named programs. This could be for particular health programs or for specified scholarships.

INVESTMENTS: Funding is available to be placed in accounts or other investment portfolios for future incomes that will be used to increase the effectiveness of those funds. This will be managed in a manner that allows for strong growth and a secure future for the Institute and its programs.

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS: These may be made through endowments or other funds which through the decision of the board and administration need to be made available to students for varying reasons. The more that funds can be made available for such programs the less burden there is on students, the potential of a greater number of students and the benefit to the colleges.

ACCOUNTING: There will be accounting procedures to make sure that the funds designed for a program are available for that program. An accounting firm will be used that can handle all governmental regulations required in maintaining accurate records.

LOCAL, STATE & NATIONAL TELETHONS: Such an “annual” event with the support of our colleges, students, doctors and all of their patients could bring into the profession tens of millions of dollars. This is the legacy that CCI / CHER hopes to bestow upon this profession, from this time forward. One of the most powerful forms of fundraising will be the Telethon. This will allow for greater exposure of the profession while raising potentially vast amounts of income for multiple Institute programs.
